Updated: Jul 11, 2021

Sunrise-Wild Mustang Trail-8/23/20

Discover Marana Website

The Town's Discover Marana Website is geared toward informing prospective visitors and residents about Marana. It now has a section for the Tortolita Preserve and Trail System. TA photos are featured and there is a link to the TA Website!

Our New Town Councilmember

Jackie Graig gets sworn in on November 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Town Council Chambers. Many of us will be there to celebrate this wonderful victory and begin the good work.

TA is already preparing for the next election in 2022!

RTAnext Presentation

TA is sponsoring an RTANext Virtual Presentation on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 6:00 PM. The Presentation will be hosted by Mindy Blake, Outreach Coordinator for the Pima Association of Governments (PAG). You will learn about PAG, the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) and how the public can participate in regional transportation project planning, e.g. Dove Mountain Boulevard, Tangerine Road and more. TA members will be getting a special event invitation with all the details in a few days.

Tortolita Alliance (TA) Tee Shirts

TA Tee Shirts are in and most have been delivered. We do have about 25 unisex and 15 women's tee shirts available. The cost is $20 with a portion going to support TA. If you want to order, just go to the Support Tab and order on-line. You can pay at pick-up/delivery.

Dove Mountain Boulevard Road Noise

Many Dove Mountain residents are concerned about road noise along Dove Mountain Boulevard. Especially after the recent chip sealing project. A local group has been formed and they are working with Marana on this issue. You can go to the Dove Mountain Boulevard Improvement Activity website for more information.

La Puerta Del Norte

TA attended, submitted a Comment Letter and made verbal comments at the August 8, 2020 Public Hearing on this proposed annexation/housing development located adjacent to the El Rio Preserve. TA worked closely with the Coalition For Sonoran Desert Protection and Bean Tree Farm in formulating its comments. We will continue to monitor this project.
