TA Alert! More Rooftops & H2O?

Camino De Oeste 34

Marana Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 28 at 6:30 in the Town Council Chambers (11555 W. Civic Center Drive) regarding the proposed Camino De Oeste 34 development project. Click on the button below to review the Site Analysis Report.

The project proposes to rezone 34.3 acres from R-144 [114,000 sq. ft. (3.3 acres) lot size] to R-7 [7,000 sq. ft. (0.16 acres) lot size]. This is a proposed density (RAC) of 2.4 lots per acre. See development plan to the left.

TA has submitted a Comment Letter recommending that this project be put on hold until Marana obtains an approved Designated Assured Water Supply (DAWS) to meet the over-allocated water demands (4,806 acre-feet/year) from 16,020 lots already approved. See exhibit to the right. In addition, the DAWS must come from physical, renewable water sources and not natural groundwater.

TA urges all members to attend this public hearing and provide verbal comment. If you cannot attend, please provide your written comments and/or support TA's Comment Letter. Written comments can be sent via email to the Town Clerk (Cherry Lawson) at clawson@maranaaz.gov .
