Santa Cruz River Cleanup



Tucson Clean & Beautiful and other agencies/groups are sponsoring a Santa Cruz River Cleanup on March 7. The Tortolita Alliance is collaborating with Tucson Clean & Beautiful on this event. Please join us for a morning of socially-distant litter removal along the Santa Cruz River!


COVID-19 Precautions-Social distancing (6 feet apart), masks and gloves are required throughout. Hand sanitizer and gloves will be provided. All tools are washed and sanitized before use.


When: Sunday, March 7, 2021, 9 AM-11 AM.

Where: Ina Road Bridge.

Directions: From Dove Mountain-proceed to I-10 East, exit I-10 at Ina Road, turn right, proceed ½ mile, cross the bridge and look for the Tortolita Alliance banner in the parking area to the left.

Suggestions: Hiking/work boots, long pants, long-sleeved shirts, sun hats, sunglasses. You may need a light jacket.

Bring: COVID-19 mask, 2 liters of water, snack and personal work gloves (if preferred).

Supplied: Tools, gloves, instructions and liability waiver.

You, your friends, and family can be part of the solution to the litter that plagues our rivers and washes! All ages are welcome, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend.
