Tortolita Preserve Wash After Summer Monsoonal Rains
August 2021
On Sunday, I hiked the Tortolita Preserve (TP) with three TA members who are also Master Naturalists to find wildflowers and other plants rejuvenated from the recent rains.
All the TP washes show evidence of water flow and the fragrance (not creosote bush) of the wildflowers and plants emerging from the desert was incredible.
Here is a collage of photos taking during our hike. Wildflowers/plants are identified by common name.
