Freedom!

Strong-Arm Saguaro At Daylight

Went for a 7.5 mile hike in the Tortolita Preserve (TP) this morning. I had to. The events in Europe are disturbing. It is hard to believe this is happening again after all the history.

We are fortunate to have a beautiful 2,400 acre preserve where we can hike, bike and horse-back ride and escape the world's problems. It is good for the body and good for the soul.

Thanks to our grandparents, parents, other family members and friends who have served our country to protect our Freedom. We are blessed. We can hike, bike and horse-back ride in peace.

Godspeed to the people of Ukraine.

It has been a bit too cold this winter and wildflowers are now just starting to perk up in the TP. Here is a collage of photos taken this morning on my hike. See if you can match up these titles with the photos: creosote bush, sunrise 1, caliche, Englemann's pricklypear, buckhorn cholla, sunrise 2, phacelia, great trail maintenance by Kim and Chris (Marana P&R), canaigre, saguaro ribs, TP panorama and common fiddleneck.
